Trump's decision clear example of American anti-Islamic policies

TEHRAN, Dec. 21 (MNA) – Head of President's Office Mahmoud Vaezi said in Baku on Thursday that Trump’s decision to recognize Al-Quds (Jerusalem) as Israeli regime's capital and the US veto in recent UNSC meeting indicate American anti-Islamic, anti-Palestine policies.

Mahmoud Vaezi,  Head of President's Office,  at his speech at the ‘2017-year of Islamic Solidarity Year: Interfaith and Intercultural Dialogue’ Conference in Baku on December 21, 2017 said that Trump's decision to identify Al-Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime and the transfer of the US embassy to that city and the following US veto at the recent  Security Council meeting provide clear examples of American anti-Islamic and anti-Palestinian policies.

In his address to the meeting, which was attended by the Azerbaijani President, the head of the office of the President of the Republic of Iran, said "by now, it must be clear to everyone that the United States is seeking to create divisions within the ranks of the Islamic countries in favor of Israeli illegitimate interests.”

He added "fortunately, the extraordinary summit of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Istanbul last week showed the explicit positions of the Islamic countries in condemning the US move and the strong support for the Palestinian cause, and promised a bright future for the oppressed Palestinian people."

The head of the president's office emphasized that the United States and the Zionists are attempting not to let the issue of Palestine be the first issue of the Islamic world.

He added, "It is a pity that, in today's political world, we are witnessing that unity among Muslims is facing serious obstacles," adding “much of these obstacles are the result of the malicious intentions of the enemies who regard the unity of Muslims as contrary to their political interests.”

Vaezi noted “we believe that if Muslims are united, global powers will never dare to attack the first Qibla of Muslims.“

On the sidelines of conference in Baku, Mr. Vaezi met with Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev.

Baku Conference on Islamic Solidarity, attended by officials and prominent scholars from 40 Muslim countries, was held today December 21st, 2017 in Baku.
